Flooded just outside my apartment, happened to notice one of my SCCA friends and fellow engineering student parked his car in a horrible spot for this weather. He and his BMW were with me on our !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! .
It got worse since this picture, the water completely obscured the chrome kidney grills. I checked it out after the flooding stopped, the footwells are entirely flood and holding water and there’re signs the water got as high as the armrests.
It’s salvageable...but there’s a whole lot of interior and electronic work that’ll need to be done.

Saw the first pic and thought “why doesn’t he just drive off?”, then I scrolled down...
No way to warn him or do anything about it?

He is on a minor field trip for his senior design project. No way to get that car out in time.

About that much water killed my old Mazda 6. Once the electronics get wet its done for.

It always floods at the corner of Main St and Whaley St. I don’t understand why the city allows metered parking there anymore.

I have learned in my short time here that either SCDOT or Lexington County doesn’t believe in ditches.

It’s flooding in Cola? Or is that particular spot especially prone to flooding? We’ve been getting lightly raining all day here in Florence, but no flooding.

Just that particular spot, it’s poorly designed to handle flash flooding water volumes.
